The 52nd National Conference on Fluid Power (NCFP) will be held in conjunction with IFPE 2011. The NCFP will emphasize new technologies and methods related to improved analysis, design, manufacturing and performance of fluid power components and systems for mobile and industrial markets. Topics relating to analysis, design and application techniques are of interest.
Center for Compact and Efficient Fluid PowerThe Center for Compact and Efficient Fluid Power's (CCEFP) Annual Meeting will co-locate with IFPE and the 52nd National Conference on Fluid Power. CCEFP is a National Science Foundation (NSF) Engineering Research Center charged with conducting pioneering research in emerging technologies and training the next generation of engineers to be leaders in innovation. CCEFP's Annual Meeting will bring together researchers, educators, students and industry leaders to listen to and discuss research and education project presentations.
On March 23, 2011, Maximum Capacity Media will host a 5K Run/Walk at the CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2011 exposition being held in Las Vegas, Nev. Established in 2008, the 5k Run/Walk will benefit the AEM Education Foundation. AEM Education Foundation is an initiative designed to inspire young people to explore careers in the construction industry. More information.
The winner in the men's division was Robert Giles, Marketing Manager at Doosan Infracore. The winner in the female division Amy Schwandt, Publisher at Cygnus Business Media. The globetrotter award, which recognizes the participant who travelled the furthest, was Kieron Thompson of New Holland who is from Hazelbrook, NSW, Australia.
