IFPE is the International Exposition for Power Transmission. It is North America ’s largest international exposition and technical conference for power transmission and motion control technologies.
IFPE was launched by the National Fluid Power Association, or NFPA, in Chicago in 1984 as a showcase for fluid power products.
Originally called the International Fluid Power Exposition, the early focus was on hydraulic and pneumatic components, systems and controls.
In 2000, IFPE expanded its scope to better serve engineering professionals. Electrical and mechanical power transmission products were added to the mix. The show’s name stayed the same. But the International Exposition for Power Transmission became the new buzzword. IFPE is now home to all four major areas of the power transmission and motion control industries.
In 2002, IFPE moved from Chicago to Las Vegas. It was the first show to co-locate with CONEXPO-CON/AGG, the western hemisphere’s largest international exposition for the construction and construction materials industries.
Co-locating with CONEXPO-CON/AGG proved beneficial for exhibitors AND attendees. Many IFPE exhibitors also displayed their products at CONEXPO-CON/AGG. Attendees save because they see everything they need in one location, at one time!
IFPE 2005 Breaks Records!
More than 124,300 industry professionals from around the world attended the co-located IFPE 2005 and CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2005 shows. IFPE 2005 was the largest in the show’s history in terms of exhibit space. To view photos from IFPE 2005, please click here!
